Presentations

Welcome

The future of the New Zealand accident compensation scheme is important to the people of New Zealand – as workers, employers, sportspeople, business people, treatment providers, drivers, parents and citizens.

This is an opportunity for you to hear from experts in the field and to discuss the future of ACC and how it will affect you. We look forward to seeing you there.

ACC Futures Seminar is being organised by a range of groups interested in promoting discussion about the future of our Accident Compensation scheme in light of the recent PricewaterhouseCoopers report – Accident Compensation Corporation: Scheme Review (March 2008).

Content

The seminar will consider:

  • how ACC has developed in the way it has
  • ACC’s performance against various benchmarks, such as the Woodhouse principles and comparable overseas systems
  • the issues for ACC heading into the future.

The format will allow for discussion and debate on the risks and issues ACC faces and how policy on the Accident Compensation scheme might develop. There will be an opportunity to hear from the political parties what their intentions are for ACC in this election year.
